GENERAL INFORMATION
The International Organ Festival Haarlem is organised by the
foundation 'Stichting Internationaal Orgelconcours'.
The board consists of:
Hans Koenders, chairman,
Peter van Voorst, treasurer,
Stephen Taylor, secretary,
Leo van Doeselaar, Ewald Kooiman, Jos van der Kooy, Jaap Lampe,
Anton Pauw, Wim de Ruiter, Cynthia Wilson and Bernard Winsemius.
The festival started in 1951 with the 1rst Improvisation
Competition for Organists. Later, a Summer Academy was added.
Since 1986, the festival is a biennal event.

The festival is
financially supported by the city of Haarlem and the State
Department of Cultural Affairs (Ministerie van OC&W).
PARTNERS
The
festival co-operates with Orgelpark (Amsterdam) Royal
Conservatory (The Hague), Foundation Garrelsorgel Purmerend,
Foundation Grote Sint Laurenskerk Alkmaar, City Library
Haarlem and Projectgroep zaterdagmiddagconcerten (Kathedraal
St. Bavo).
