PICTURES - THEMES - LISTEN TO
THE FINAL ROUND
The jury has decided to give the first price
to two winners: the Dutchman Chiel Jan van Hofwegen and the
Hungarian organist Robert Kovács.
The first showed the most constant level during all three
rounds, but the second was the best of the final round,
reason for the jury to share the price.Kovács also was a finalist in the 2004 competition; Van
Hofwegen participated for the first time.
The other two finalists were Jukka Aro and David Franke.
The jury consisted of Daniel Roth, David Briggs,
Karl-Bermhardin Kropf, Piet Kee, Klaas de Vries and Ewald
Kooiman (chairman)

chosen by Bernard Winsemius

Final round: Improvisation in a free form on a theme
by Hans Kox.
