Conditions for application

 
Participants must have recital experience in improvisation, both in prescribed and free forms.
For the selection round, candidates must submit an improvisation according to the instructions given below.
 
The improvisation must be submitted on Mini-Disc or CD (no audio-tape).
Organists born before 1 July 1972 are excluded from participation. A copy of your passport must be sent with your application.
 
Applicants should take into account that they must be present in Haarlem from the evening of Sunday 15 July (participants’ dinner); the final round is on Friday evening 20 July. All participants will be invited to attend all festival concerts free of charge. The Haarlem Organ Festival will open on Saturday 14 July.

Please read the following instructions carefully:

Recordings:
* We only accept recordings made on CD or Mini-Disc. When recording on Mini-Disc please do not record in mono mode, but always in stereo. 
* Please send one copy to us, and keep the original recording yourself. Do not mention your name on the CD or Mini-Disc!


Postal delivery:
* Some couriers, including UPS and FedEx, do not deliver to our post box. Some new European mail companies do not deliver directly to our TNT–post box, which can cause a delay of up to 10 days. Please check this with your postal company.
You can send your recording safely by registered post (priority) addressed to our post box. We advise you to send us an e-mail to inform us as soon as your recording has been posted. We will stay in contact with you until your recording has arrived.
If you do wish to send the recording by courier, please contact us in advance by e-mail, so that we can provide you with a private address.


Deadline:
Application is open from 1 December 2011. The recording must be in our possession not later than 1st February 2012. We cannot be held responsible if your recording arrives too late to be considered.
