Conditions for application
Participants must have concert experience in improvisation, both in prescribed and free forms.
For the selection round, an improvisation in the form of a Fantasia and Fugue is required on the given themes (see below).
The improvisation should last no more than 10 minutes and must be submitted on Mini-Disc or CD (no audio-tape).
Organists born before 1 July 1970 are excluded from participation. Please send a copy of your passport with the application form.
Applicants should take into account that they must be present in Haarlem from the evening of Wednesday 14 July (participants’ dinner) until Tuesday 20 July inclusive. All participants will be invited to attend all festival concerts free of charge. The opening concert of the festival will take place on the evening of Saturday 17 July.

Recordings:
* We only accept recordings made on CD or Mini-Disc. When recording on Mini-Disc please do not record in mono mode, but always in stereo
* Please send one copy to us, and keep the original recording yourself
Postal delivery:
* Some couriers, including UPS and FedEx, do not deliver to our post box. Some new European mail companies do not deliver directly to our TNT–post box, which can cause a delay of up to 10 days. Please check this with your postal company.
You can send your recording safely by registered post (priority) addressed to our post box. We advise you to send us an e-mail to inform us as soon as your recording has been shipped. We will stay in contact with you until your recording has arrived.
If you do wish to send the recording by courier, please contact us in advance by e-mail, so that we can provide you with a private address.
Deadline:
Application is open from 1 December. The recording must be in our possession not later than 13 February 2010. We cannot be held responsible if your recording arrives too late to be considered.
