Conditions of admission
Admission is open to those holding a music degree from a professional institution such as a University (BA, MA), Musikhochschule or Conservatoire. In addition, students who are nearing the end of their organ studies will also be admitted, but should include a letter of recommendation from their professor with the application. Students holding certificates from other institutions as mentioned above should first address to the organisation.
Every student is expected to take an active part in at least one course. Active students should have a technical mastery of a large proportion of the works on the repertoire list.
Both active and passive (auditors) students pay the same course fee.
All students pay the additional registration fee to confirm their application, except from students following one 4 - day workshop.
Application procedure
Application is open from 1 January 2010. The application form and the registration fee must be received by the 'Stichting Internationaal Orgelconcours' office by 1 July 2010 at the latest.
Due to the limited number of students per course, we strongly advise applicants to submit their registration form well before the date stated above! The date on which the registration fee is received is decisive for the order of registration.
Please indicate on the application form your preferred course(s), and alternative courses in case your first choice is fully booked. We will indicate whether courses are full or whether there are still places. We cannot offer ‘reserve’ places on courses! Please note the courses which cannot be combined. Application is limited to a maximum of 58 teaching hours per student. Application is not possible for groups: each student must apply individually.
Students will receive confirmation of the courses to which they have been admitted within a few weeks after their application form and registration fee being received. After application, each student will be able to log in on this site to find all specific information about the academy (time tables, etc)
In unavoidable circumstances, IOH reserves the right to alter the teachers or programme. In such cases, participants will be informed as soon as possible.
