For more than 50 years, the Summer Academy for professional organists has been an important part of the Haarlem International Organ Festival. As from 2010, exceptionally talented teenage organists will have the opportunity to take part in a special Young Talent class.
Teachers and repertoire:
The Young Talent class offers a select group of organists aged 13-18 the chance to study with international celebrity organists who teach at the Summer Academy. Olivier Latry, organist of the Notre Dame in Paris and professor at the Paris Conservatoire, will give three lessons on works by Franck, Alain and Duruflé.
Lorenzo Ghielmi, organist of the Basilica of San Simpliciano in Milan and professor at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, will give three lessons on works by Bach.
