This course will give organists who have never tried or dared to improvise the opportunity to learn basic skills. If the course proves to be too basic for some students, they will be able to transfer to the advanced course which will be held simultaneously.

Course 8b: 23 – 31 July, Improvisation for advanced students, professor: Loïc Mallié
This course is open to organists who have broad experience of improvisation and wish to learn more about form, development etc. If the course proves to be too advanced for some students, they will be able to transfer to the beginners' course which will be held simultaneously. The professor can request a student to change to the beginners' course.

Two Dutch composition students have each written a new organ work, and young composers from abroad have sent in new pieces. These works will be the topic of this course, in which the academy students, together with the composers, will learn everything about composing for the organ and performing new compositions.
