last update: 1 September 2009

The Haarlem Organ Festival 2010 warmly invites young composers from all over the world to submit new compositions for the organ. Two works will be selected for discussion in the Summer Academy workshop directed by the internationally recognised avant-garde organist and composer Zsigmond Szathmáry, and for performance during a festival recital in the St Bavokerk on Friday 23 July 2010.

Composers must be under the age of 30 on 1 July 2010. Those selected will be required to attend the 4-day workshop from 19 to 22 July 2010. The festival organisation will cover their tutorial fee and be responsible for the performance of their compositions.

This is a unique chance to have your new work performed at the Haarlem International Organ Festival, the world’s most prestigious organ festival.

- the board reserves the right to recall the invitation if entries fall short of expectations.
