Józef Kotowicz (Poland) is an organist and teacher of organ and improvisation at the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Białystok and Music Secondary School in Białystok. In 1993 he graduated from the Białystok Department of the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw. He received the third prize at the International Organ Competition of Szczecin-Kamień Pomorski in 1994. Kotowicz continued his education in Warsaw in the organ class led by Professor Józef Serafin. The next step in his artistic and academic career was obtaining his PhD in 2014. He has participated in numerous national and international organ festivals in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Slovakia, Russia, Belarus and Lithuania. He gave five concerts in the United States. Several times he was member of the jury in International Organ Competitions.
